Job Description

Delaware North's Patina Group is a prominent player in the hospitality and foodservice industry, known for operating prestigious venues that deliver exceptional dining experiences. One of their celebrated establishments is Morimoto Asia, located in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Morimoto Asia is a vibrant pan-Asian dining destination led by the renowned Iron Chef, Masaharu Morimoto. The restaurant offers a breathtaking two-story space at Disney Springs, combining modern elegance with cultural authenticity. It features diverse dining environments, including stylish lounges and intimate private dining rooms, all designed to immerse guests in a unique culinary journey. The menu highlights a creative blend of Asian flavors, crafted with precision and innovation, ensuring every visit is unforgettable.

Delaware North is more than just a hospitality company; it is a family-owned business with over 100 years of history and a global footprint that spans iconic sports arenas, stunning national parks, exciting casinos, and world-class restaurants. By joining Delaware North, employees gain access to a wealth of growth opportunities in various sectors including restaurants, hotels, sports, gaming, and retail.

The role of Sushi Cook at Morimoto Asia is a full-time position offering an hourly wage between $17.50 and $19.00. The position is pivotal in maintaining the high culinary standards of the restaurant by preparing sushi dishes according to established recipes and chef specifications while ensuring the highest quality and freshness of all ingredients used. The Sushi Cook must demonstrate strong knife skills, precision in handling raw fish and other ingredients, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role requires collaboration with other kitchen staff to maintain smooth workflow and strict adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations.

Benefits include weekly pay, employee discounts, training and development opportunities, and flexible work schedules. Eligible employees may also access health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid vacation days and holidays, parental bonding leave, an employee assistance program, and tuition or professional certification reimbursement. This package ensures that employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

The position demands physical stamina as employees must stand for extended periods, possess manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for sushi preparation, and lift heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds. Working in a high-energy, fast-paced kitchen with variable noise levels requires adaptability and resilience. Shift schedules include days, evenings, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Delaware North is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds regardless of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, protected veteran status, or sexual orientation. Joining the team means becoming part of a company that not only values top-tier hospitality skills but also fosters a supportive and inclusive work environment.
