With over 25 years of industry experience, Tao Group Hospitality continues to set high standards by blending unforgettable entertainment with innovation and creativity at the core of its business philosophy. As part of Mohari Hospitality, an investment firm focused on luxury lifestyle and hospitality, Tao Group strives to continually reinvent the future of hospitality by exceeding guest expectations through its owned, joint venture, and managed properties.

This opportunity is for the position of Sushi Cook, offering an hourly wage of $22-$25. The role places emphasis on ensuring the highest quality, consistency, and execution of all sushi and related food items served. It requires close interaction with fellow employees and supervisors in a manner that upholds gracious hospitality standards. A Sushi Cook at Tao Group Hospitality is expected to maintain professional appearance standards, accommodate guest needs including allergy and dietary restrictions, and accurately prepare orders as directed by management or the point-of-sale system. The position mandates rigorous upkeep of cleanliness and sanitation of the assigned station and surrounding environment to comply with health standards and company policies. Other responsibilities include detailed knowledge of menu items and proper preparation techniques, as well as teamwork and communication with chefs, sous chefs, expeditors, and support staff.

This role demands a hands-on approach to station setup, opening and closing procedures, stocking supplies, and maintaining FIFO (first-in, first-out) standards. Physical demands include the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive motions in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, encompassing shifts during days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role offers comprehensive training, including in-venue sushi cook training and food handling certification through Tao Group Hospitality. Beyond technical skills, candidates must portray a positive and professional attitude while working as part of a collaborative team.

Tao Group Hospitality is committed to fostering an inclusive and dynamic work environment where employees are encouraged to learn by observation, participation in meetings and training sessions, and by leading through example. This role not only requires culinary expertise but also a dedication to providing guests with an outstanding dining experience in line with the company’s high standards of hospitality and operational excellence. The company values adaptability, professionalism, and an eagerness to contribute to a vibrant team culture, making this an excellent career opportunity for skilled sushi cooks seeking growth and recognition within a prestigious and innovative hospitality group.
