Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a sushi chef or similar kitchen role preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare sushi, sashimi, rolls, and other menu items according to recipes, presentation standards, and restaurant specifications
  • ensure the quality, freshness, proper storage, and safe handling of ingredients including seafood, rice, produce, sauces, and garnishes
  • maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper stocking of the sushi bar and kitchen area
  • adhere to food safety, sanitation, allergy awareness, cross-contact prevention, and raw seafood handling standards
  • collaborate with kitchen and service team members for timely, accurate, and efficient service
  • assist with daily prep, station setup, restocking, breakdown, and end-of-shift cleaning
  • assist in inventory management by communicating product levels, quality concerns, and ordering needs
  • provide excellent customer service and interact with guests professionally
