The role of Sushi Chef at Hilton is a pivotal position within the culinary team, focusing on the Japanese/Sushi section of the kitchen. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a sushi chef or in a similar culinary role
  • Knowledge of Japanese culinary techniques and ingredients
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Enhance menu offerings by creating and implementing new dishes and seasonal menus to elevate the dining experience
  • Manage financial performance through control of costs, monitoring budgets, and optimizing profitability via efficient production planning
  • Inspire and develop the culinary team by supervising and supporting team members, monitoring performance, providing coaching, and fostering a positive workplace
  • Uphold regulatory standards by maintaining compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations
