Job Description

Maverick Washington LLC is a vibrant and dynamic company that operates within the casino and hospitality industry, specifically under the brand Goldies Casino located in Seattle, WA. The company prides itself on delivering exceptional entertainment experiences combined with outstanding service to guests, creating a welcoming and fun atmosphere for both visitors and staff. Maverick is recognized for its commitment to maintaining a respectful and enjoyable workplace culture where employees are encouraged to treat guests and coworkers with utmost respect and enthusiasm. The company embraces a unique identity, associating the term "Maverick" with an individual who plays by their own rules, reflecting the company's bold and independent spirit in the competitive casino business landscape.

The Sushi Chef role at Goldies Casino is a crucial culinary position responsible for preparing high-quality sushi dishes that meet the restaurant's exacting standards. This role involves handling a wide array of raw fish and other authentic Japanese ingredients, with keen attention to hygiene, accuracy, and presentation quality. The Sushi Chef is tasked with setting up their workstation daily according to specific restaurant guidelines and executing all food preparation tasks following detailed recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications. This ensures the consistency and excellence that the casino guests expect from their dining experience. In this fast-paced environment, the Sushi Chef must be able to work efficiently without compromising quality, supporting the team in delivering prompt and enticing orders.

Beyond the technical skill of sushi preparation, the position requires strong organizational capabilities such as time management and prioritization to ensure smooth kitchen operations. The candidate must actively adhere to safety and security procedures while properly handling kitchen equipment and materials. Physical stamina is equally important, as the job demands long hours of standing and moving about in a potentially high-pressure bar or restaurant environment. The Sushi Chef must be capable of lifting moderate weights, enduring variable temperature conditions, and meeting age requirements to ensure compliance with regulations.

This opportunity is particularly aligned with culinary professionals who possess previous experience in Japanese cuisine, hold a valid Washington Health Certification or Food Worker Card, and are passionate about delivering premium food experiences. The role contributes significantly to the overall guest satisfaction at Goldies Casino and provides a platform for career advancement in the hospitality industry. Maverick Washington LLC supports a culture where team members are motivated to grow professionally while enjoying their workday and building meaningful connections. This comprehensive approach underscores Maverick's dedication not only to its guests but also to its employees' well-being and success.
