Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or catering setting
- In-depth knowledge of sushi types, ingredients, and preparation techniques
- Proficiency in sushi knife skills and safe handling of raw fish
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Prepare and serve high-quality sushi dishes to customers according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients used in sushi preparation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate sushi orders and maintain efficient service
- Stay updated with industry trends and new techniques in sushi preparation and presentation
- Provide excellent customer service and address any customer inquiries or special requests
- Inspect and clean food preparation areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
- Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature
- Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment
- Monitor freshness of food and ingredients, rotate stock
- Consult with supervisory staff to plan menus and manage costs
- Coordinate and supervise work of kitchen staff
