Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Completion of basic food handling training and any local or state mandated certification
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Regular and consistent attendance
- Energetic and friendly attitude
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to take and follow direction
- Sense of urgency in responding to tasks
- Prior experience as a sushi cook preferred
- Ability to handle physical demands including bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Capability to stand for extended periods
- Willingness to comply with safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Prior restaurant experience
- Knowledge of sushi preparation techniques
- Ability to explain food preparation and service clearly to guests
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Basic food handling certification or health card preferred
- Experience using kitchen equipment safely

Job Duties
- Prepare all types of sushi line in accordance with approved recipes and portion controls
- Follow and execute daily prep lists
- Maintain policies and procedures to minimize food waste and theft
- Clean food preparation area and equipment after each use
- Provide a professional image through proper culinary attire
- Ensure standard operating procedures, safety, and sanitation are consistently achieved
- Sanitize employee and guest high-contact areas regularly
- Utilize personal protective equipment properly
- Monitor safety and security issues and report them to management
- Adapt to cleaning tasks frequency and scope
- Perform other related duties as assigned
