Our Georgia surveying division is currently seeking a highly motivated and energetic Survey Crew Chief / Party Chief to join the team. This role is tailored for an individual with solid experience and a comprehensive understanding of construction projects and construction staking operations, mainly supporting major infrastructure projects. The selected candidate will have an opportunity to leverage and assist in growing the surveying practice through the application of cutting-edge surveying technology such as Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), mobile LiDAR, static laser scanning, single and multibeam sonar, metrology, industrial measurement tools, robotics, and GNSS surveying. As a Survey Crew Chief / Party Chief, you will work under limited supervision and be responsible for leading survey crews in the field, providing direction and guidance to technicians, coordinating project schedules, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry safety standards. You will collaborate with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to discuss assignments and ensure the successful completion of projects. The role involves extensive use and knowledge of survey equipment, including robotic total stations and GNSS capabilities, and applying advanced surveying computations such as trigonometry and coordinate geometry. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining equipment and vehicles in pristine condition and ensuring the team adheres to safety procedures.

Additionally, the position demands strong organizational skills to manage job files, field notes, reports, and drawings proficiently. The Survey Crew Chief / Party Chief must also be adept at preparing field documentation such as daily timesheets, data logs, topographic and staking reports, and managing field change orders. Physical fitness and the ability to perform demanding fieldwork in varied weather conditions are essential components of this role. Effective communication with the crew and office personnel is required to maintain smooth project execution.
