Key responsibilities include mixing drinks to company specifications, keeping the bar area neat and properly stocked, and managing transactions efficiently. This position requires the bartender to be knowledgeable about the menu, promotions, and drink specials to answer guests’ questions clearly and confidently. Additionally, the bartender is expected to serve food according to specific job standards and to monitor guests' behavior to identify any who are intoxicated, summoning a manager as necessary.

This is a physically engaging role, requiring the ability to stand or walk for 100 percent of the shift, lift weights up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive motions like bending, stirring, and shaking drinks vigorously. The ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, is essential. Compliance with Florida's Responsible Vendor program and food safety certification programs is mandatory, ensuring the bartender operates within legal and company safety standards. Job Requirements

  • Physical stamina to stand or walk throughout the shift
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions including reaching, bending, stooping, stirring, and vigorous shaking
  • Tolerance for manual immersion of hands in water frequently
  • Capability to handle lifting weights up to 50 pounds
  • Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English
  • Competence in reading and writing handwritten documents like guest checks and notes
  • Successful completion and passing of Florida Responsible Vendor program as per legal and company standards
  • Certification in food safety program according to company and Florida regulations
  • Ability to verify identification and calculate guests’ age manually

Job Qualifications

  • Can physically stand or walk 100 percent of shift

  • Ability to speak, read and write English
  • Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks and notes
  • Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program in compliance with company and Florida statutes
  • Complete and pass food safety certification program in compliance with company and Florida statutes
  • Ability to request proper identification and manually calculate and determine guests’ age

Job Duties

  • Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
  • Mix liquor and drink ingredients according to company recipes and measures
  • Serve guests in a cheerful and courteous temperament while displaying a neat and clean professional image
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and properly stocked bar
  • Verify correct pricing for drinks
  • Serve food according to the Server Job Description requisites
  • Be knowledgeable of drink promotions and specials and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
  • Accurately enter orders into POS system in a timely manner
  • Assess guests’ demeanor, identify intoxicated guests and summon a Manager if necessary
  • Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards), ensure correct transactions using POS, and deliver correct change promptly
  • Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, and assigned sidework
