The Dietary Supervisor position at Brynn Marr Hospital is an essential leadership role within the dietary services department. This role involves planning, preparing, and serving both regular and specialized diets to patients, hospital staff, and guests. The Dietary Supervisor works closely with the Dietary Manager to ensure all procedures, schedules, menu designs, inventory, and ordering processes meet hospital and regulatory standards. This includes strict adherence to cleaning and sanitization protocols and compliance with all quality and safety standards required by the hospital.
The work schedule for this position is variable and may include weekends, reflecting the need for continuous dietary support in a healthcare environment. Job Requirements
- high school graduate or equivalency
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in food service as a supervisor
- experience in health care food service facility preferred
- ServeSafe certification
- ability to perform medium work exerting 20 - 50 pounds of force occasionally
- physical ability to walk or stand to a significant degree
- knowledge of OSHA Blood Borne Pathogens Standards, CFR 1910.1030
- familiarity with hospital exposure control plans and safety data sheets
- ability to handle exposure to blood borne diseases safely
Job Qualifications
- high school graduate or equivalency
- trade, vocational school training or bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in food service as a supervisor
- experience in health care food service facility preferred
- ServeSafe certification
