The role at Five Below offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about retail management and customer service. As a key part of the store leadership team, the position is responsible for ensuring that all crew members deliver an exceptional B.E.S.T. customer service experience, creating fast and friendly interactions at checkout and throughout the store. The role involves managing daily store activities, including training and supervising staff, organizing new product inventory, and maintaining store operations. Acting as Manager on Duty when necessary, candidates will take charge of store operations, staff oversight, customer relations, and quick resolution of urgent issues. The position also requires handling store opening and closing procedures, ensuring security and operational readiness each day.

Additionally, the role emphasizes driving store sales and controlling expenses by optimizing merchandising, staff performance, and customer service strategies. Collaboration with the leadership team on merchandising standards and inventory recovery ensures the store meets company goals for sales and customer satisfaction. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of management experience in a retail environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work on ladders
  • Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and possible overnight shifts
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions
  • Good interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Ensures all crew members wow the customer through personal contact
  • Trains crew on the B.E.S.T. customer service experience
  • Oversees daily activities of store associates
  • Assists with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock
  • Acts as Manager on Duty when needed
  • Manages store opening and closing operations
  • Supports onboarding and ongoing training of associates
  • Drives store sales and controls expenses
  • Partners with store leadership on merchandising and inventory recovery
