With over 9,800 employees across 14 locations, Uline has built a solid reputation over 45 plus years for providing exceptional career opportunities, stability, and a supportive work environment. The company is dedicated to ensuring the success and growth of its workforce by offering competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and a culture that emphasizes collaboration and innovation. Uline operates in a highly competitive industry where effective supply chain management is critical to maintaining its position as an industry leader and fulfilling customer demands efficiently.
This position is for a Supply Chain Manager at Uline's Kenosha branch located at 12355 Uline Way, Kenosha, WI 53144. This role plays a pivotal part in the day-to-day operations of Uline’s extensive warehouse facilities, which include two buildings spanning over 1.4 million square feet. The Supply Chain Manager will lead a dedicated Supply Chain / Velocity team tasked with assigning and maintaining product locations throughout these large facilities. Operational effectiveness in warehouse management is crucial, considering Uline deals with more than 43,000 shipping, industrial, and packaging products that must be properly organized, stocked, and ready for timely shipment.
In this role, the Supply Chain Manager is responsible for analyzing reports, utilizing various tools and queries to ensure compliance with slotting standards, and optimizing the supply chain within the facility. Strong analytical skills are required to interpret data and make informed recommendations concerning process improvements and space management strategies. The ideal candidate will also foster effective collaboration with other departments such as safety and demand planning to support enterprise-wide initiatives that enhance operational performance.
Effective communication is a cornerstone of this role as the manager will relay departmental updates to both local management and corporate leadership teams. This ensures alignment on goals and continuous improvement processes. The position requires a leader who is highly detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously, and exhibits excellent communication skills to motivate and coordinate the team effectively.
Uline's commitment to its employees extends well beyond salary and includes comprehensive health insurance coverage, a 401(k) plan with a 6 percent employer match starting on day one, multiple bonus programs, paid holidays, and generous paid time off. Additionally, Uline offers a tuition assistance program designed to support professional continuing education, enabling employees to expand their skills and advance their careers. The company also boasts employee perks such as an on-site café featuring affordable meal options from local restaurants, a fitness center, walking paths, and state-of-the-art, clean modern facilities.
This position is full-time and requires on-site presence at the Kenosha branch. Uline is a drug-free workplace, requiring new hires to complete a pre-employment hair follicle drug screening. The company is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer and welcomes veterans and disabled candidates. By joining Uline, candidates become part of a company that values its employees and provides extensive opportunities for career growth, job security, and a supportive working environment in the supply chain and warehousing sector.
