The Supervisor, Training Hotel operates under the direction of the Manager, Training Hospitality, and is chiefly responsible for the comprehensive training and development programs within the hotel operations department. The position holds accountability for managing new hire orientations, facilitating pre-training and ongoing training sessions, and creating a robust curriculum aligned with Forbes standards and the latest training technologies. This role requires a proactive approach to monitoring training progress, providing feedback, and continuously enhancing training materials to meet evolving business needs. Furthermore, the Supervisor collaborates closely with multiple departments and external vendors to streamline onboarding processes, support hiring events, and implement new policies or products within the hotel. Leadership and supervisory responsibilities include staff hiring, training, performance evaluation, and succession planning, emphasizing the development of team members for key roles. Job Requirements
- Associate degree in related field
- Minimum three years of training experience preferably in a gaming and/or hospitality environment
- Minimum two years of supervisory experience preferred
- Minimum one year of Forbes training facilitation strongly preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and progressive, relevant and direct experience may be considered
- Good presentation skills
- Excellent writing skills
- Ability to communicate verbally across all levels of the enterprise
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with compliance applications
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance with minimum liability limits
- Must be able to commute regularly between locations
- May be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license at the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Hold responsibility for all aspects of training including facilitating new hire training, incumbent team member training, classroom management and responding to initial team member concerns
- Oversee new hire orientations, pre-training sessions, and create schedules for new hire training
- Track new hire progress and provide regular feedback during training
- Ensure a quality training experience by creating training classes and/or manuals as needed
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure successful onboarding of new hires into the Hotel Operations department
- Remain up to date with Forbes standards as well as new training methods and technologies and modify training curriculum and materials accordingly
- Develop a tracking system to manage the training progress for all Hotel Operations team members
- Ensure that all required trainings are completed, and acknowledgments are signed in a timely manner
- Assist with the selection of new team members by attending hiring events and job fairs, screening applications, scheduling and conducting interviews for multiple positions, as assigned
- Support the creation and implementation of new products, policies and procedures, and revisions as needed
- Work with Central Scheduling and/or vendors to create training schedules for all Hotel team members
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws including interviewing, hiring and training employees

- Make hiring decisions and design individual development plans with succession planning in mind for all key roles
