The role of the Mental Health Technician (MHT) Supervisor at Coastal Harbor Health System plays an instrumental leadership role in the daily operations of residential units. Job Duties
- Lead and supervise Mental Health Technicians by assigning daily responsibilities, ensuring effective shift handoffs, maintaining appropriate staffing levels, and providing coaching, performance feedback, and ongoing training
- Oversee the safety, security, and daily operations of the residential units by conducting room sweeps, monitoring resident whereabouts, enforcing safety protocols, and proactively addressing potential risks
- Support the delivery of high-quality patient care by ensuring implementation of individualized treatment plans, psychoeducational programming, therapeutic activities, life skills development, and positive behavioral interventions
- Respond to and lead crisis situations using trauma-informed de-escalation techniques, ensuring appropriate interventions, incident debriefings, accurate reporting, and compliance with restraint and seclusion procedures
- Ensure timely, accurate completion of clinical documentation, behavioral observations, incident reports, shift communications, and regulatory reports in accordance with organizational policies and state requirements
- Promote a positive, therapeutic environment by modeling professionalism, maintaining healthy boundaries, fostering respectful relationships, and encouraging patient engagement and staff collaboration
- Ensure compliance with all organizational policies, regulatory standards, and training requirements while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff
