Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of work experience in hospital hotel or long-term care facility as a lead or supervisor preferred
- Ability to move freely standing stooping walking bending pushing and pulling
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance
- Exposure to blood borne pathogens while performing job duties
- Compliance with department specific competencies
- Flexibility to work primarily 3p to 11:30p with occasional weekend on call
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism in a healthcare environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of experience as a lead or supervisor in a hospital hotel or long-term care facility preferred
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Knowledge of infection prevention and safety standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Oversees the daily operations of the environmental services department
- Regulates daily activities of team members providing guidance and support
- Selects coordinates and monitors contracted services
- Ensures compliance with quality assurance standards department policies and regulatory requirements
- Hires transfers and supervises team members
- Develops performance expectations coaches evaluates and motivates team members investigates complaints and performance concerns
- Ensures appropriate staffing to achieve outcomes within units
- Leads or implements system initiatives process improvements regulatory and policy changes using change management principles
- Identifies opportunities for improvement to deliver highest quality outcomes
- Ensures professional practice standards are met through reviews meetings reports and observation of results
