This position is for the Foodservice Supervisor at Geisinger, located in Scranton, PA, under the GCMC Foodservice Operations Team. The role is full-time with a rotating schedule, including weekends. The Foodservice Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and ensuring quality food and service for all customers. This includes assisting the management team in menu development, recruitment, training, disciplinary actions, monitoring service, scheduling, and other location-specific duties. This role demands coordinating proper staffing levels to meet service timelines and maintaining quality, safety, sanitation, service, and HACCP standards. The supervisor will also be responsible for engaging with patients, staff, and guests, addressing questions and resolving issues to ensure a smooth operation.
The Foodservice Supervisor serves as a vital link between staff and management. They will coordinate and oversee daily activities, conduct meetings, monitor performance, provide feedback, and facilitate a cooperative work environment. Additional responsibilities may include cash handling, cooking, driving, patient meal rounds, and opening or closing duties, depending on the specific area supervised. Job Duties
- Responsible for all aspects of foodservices
- Coordinates and oversees the daily activities of the staff
