Today, SJHMC is a leading global destination for innovative and specialized healthcare, encompassing a 571-bed hospital that offers cutting-edge treatment and compassionate care. The hospital is home to renowned institutions such as the Barrow Neurological Institute, a world leader in neurological research and treatments, and the Norton Thoracic Institute, nationally recognized for advanced thoracic surgery. Additionally, SJHMC operates one of Arizona's busiest Level I Trauma Centers, providing critical emergency services 24/7 to patients in need.
SJHMC is deeply committed to a culture of excellence and the well-being of its employees, promoting both professional and personal growth through a collaborative community dedicated to global health. With over 20 percent of patients traveling internationally for its specialized services, the hospital embraces a mission centered on humankindness, making it more than just a workplace—it is a family united by purpose and innovation.
As a Food Services Supervisor at Saint Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, you will play an essential leadership role in ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality food services within this prestigious healthcare environment. You will oversee daily food preparation, service, sanitation, and staff management, always adhering to occupational health and safety regulations. Your responsibilities will extend to collaborating on menu development for patient meals, cafeteria offerings, and catering services, ensuring nutritional standards and patient satisfaction are met. By implementing effective infection control practices alongside storeroom clerks and other Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) team members, you will maintain a safe and hygienic environment for food storage and preparation.
In this role, your ability to organize and motivate a diverse team will be fundamental to delivering a positive dining experience that aligns with the hospital's mission of humankindness. You will be responsible for managing staff schedules and workloads efficiently while contributing to recruitment and performance management to meet daily operational needs within budgetary constraints. Reporting and maintaining open communication channels with patients, staff, and management about service levels will be a vital part of your role to continuously enhance food service quality. Your leadership will directly impact both patient well-being and overall satisfaction, making this position a critical link in delivering excellent care at Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center.
This is a full-time position offering a competitive hourly pay rate ranging from $25.55 to $38.00, reflecting the importance of the role in contributing to the hospital’s reputation for exceptional patient care and community service.
