The Supervisor Culinary Services position at Forefront is an hourly, non-exempt role reporting directly to the Manager of the Culinary Services Department. This role is designed for a working supervisor who not only leads but also actively participates in culinary operations ensuring smooth coordination of team activities. Key responsibilities include managing food preparation, arranging attractive food displays, and delivering outstanding customer service through effective communication and operational support. The supervisor is expected to perform a variety of cooking duties while maintaining strict adherence to safety and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen, cafeteria, and other workstations. This role also involves overseeing cash handling and order processing systems, requiring proficiency in operating electronic data processing equipment and compliance with the company’s cash management policies.
The position requires the supervisor to establish and implement operational standards, leading quality improvements and communicating expectations clearly to the culinary team. A commitment to upholding all facility and departmental policies, including health and safety regulations, patient rights, and confidentiality under HIPAA, is essential. The role involves regular interaction with customers, demanding excellent interpersonal skills such as positive greetings, patience, active listening, and clear verbal communication.
