Job Requirements
- associate's degree in culinary arts or related field or equivalent experience
- bachelor's degree with emphasis on food service nutrition dietetics business or related field
- three years of experience leading or supervising multifaceted food service operations
- servsafe certified food manager certification obtained within 6 months
- ability to work mid-morning start times monday through friday with some weekends
- ability to maintain high standards of food safety sanitation and quality
- strong leadership and communication skills
- physical ability to oversee kitchen operations and manage staff
Job Qualifications
- associate's degree in culinary arts or related field equivalent experience considered
- bachelor's degree with emphasis on food service nutrition dietetics business or related field
- experience leading or supervising in a multifaceted food service operation including food production patient meals catering or retail food service
- servsafe certified food manager certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- preferred certifications include certified dietary manager (cdm) or dietetic technician registered (dtr)
Job Duties
- oversee daily operations of the food production team ensuring high standards of culinary excellence food safety and sanitation
- demonstrate strong culinary expertise and a passion for creating exceptional food serving as a hands-on leader who models quality and consistency
- coach and mentor team members to build skills support growth and maintain a positive collaborative kitchen environment
- monitor food preparation and presentation to meet hospital standards and dietary requirements
- coordinate with other departments to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
- manage inventory control and ordering to maintain cost efficiency and reduce waste
- enforce compliance with health and safety regulations
