Job Requirements

  • associate's degree in culinary arts or related field or equivalent experience
  • bachelor's degree with emphasis on food service nutrition dietetics business or related field
  • three years of experience leading or supervising multifaceted food service operations
  • servsafe certified food manager certification obtained within 6 months
  • ability to work mid-morning start times monday through friday with some weekends
  • ability to maintain high standards of food safety sanitation and quality
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • physical ability to oversee kitchen operations and manage staff

Job Qualifications

  • associate's degree in culinary arts or related field equivalent experience considered
  • bachelor's degree with emphasis on food service nutrition dietetics business or related field
  • experience leading or supervising in a multifaceted food service operation including food production patient meals catering or retail food service
  • servsafe certified food manager certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • preferred certifications include certified dietary manager (cdm) or dietetic technician registered (dtr)

Job Duties

  • oversee daily operations of the food production team ensuring high standards of culinary excellence food safety and sanitation
  • demonstrate strong culinary expertise and a passion for creating exceptional food serving as a hands-on leader who models quality and consistency
  • coach and mentor team members to build skills support growth and maintain a positive collaborative kitchen environment
  • monitor food preparation and presentation to meet hospital standards and dietary requirements
  • coordinate with other departments to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
  • manage inventory control and ordering to maintain cost efficiency and reduce waste
  • enforce compliance with health and safety regulations
