The Supervisor, Box Office, plays a critical leadership role within the Event Center at Yaamava' Resort and Casino. Reporting directly to the Manager, Box Office, this position is responsible for overseeing the successful operation of all box office activities associated with the Event Center. This role demands a comprehensive oversight of both the daily operational and financial aspects of the Box Office to ensure seamless event ticketing and customer satisfaction. The Supervisor is essential in ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures while maintaining the highest standards of service and accuracy.
In this role, the Supervisor leads the scheduling and training of the box office team, ensuring all members are proficient in ticketing functions and customer service protocols. This position requires collaboration with multiple departments including Guest Services, external vendors, Ushers, and VIP personnel, to ensure smooth event execution from ticket sale to event conclusion. The Supervisor also manages ticket manifests, resolves customer issues, oversees will-call processes, and collaborates on contract compliance such as rider requirements.
Fiscal responsibility is a significant component of the role, with duties including daily reconciliations, cash handling, and detailed financial analysis. The Supervisor produces audit detail reports and works closely with Casino Accounting to guarantee accurate financial reporting and balancing. Additionally, the position is integral to system upgrades and maintenance, facilitating coordination between the Information Technology Department and vendors for ongoing software enhancements.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, coupled with relevant experience in box office operations and financial analysis. Leadership experience is highly valued given the supervisory aspect of the role which includes hiring decisions, performance evaluation, and professional development of team members. Candidates must be skilled in key software platforms such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and possess the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. Experience with ticketing systems like Ticketmaster or AXS is required, along with an understanding of box office terminology and excellent conflict resolution skills.
Physically, this role involves working in a climate-controlled resort and casino environment with occasional travel for meetings and conferences. Employees must be able to adapt to shift schedules that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. The job demands stamina and mobility to meet the physical requirements of the position including standing, sitting, lifting, and operating office equipment.

Job Requirements
- bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- minimum two years of box office or related experience
- one year of financial analysis experience preferred
- previous leadership experience
- proficiency with Ticketmaster or AXS

- travel as required for meetings and conferences
- physical ability to perform job duties
- may require gaming license as per San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
