The role of Superintendent is a pivotal leadership position within this organization, based in Charlotte, North Carolina. The successful candidate will oversee all field operations related to commercial interior and renovation projects spanning the East Coast and Southeast regions. This permanent position offers a highly competitive salary ranging from $110,000 to $160,000 annually, coupled with generous bonuses and comprehensive benefits. The Superintendent will collaborate closely with Project Managers and other project team members to ensure that every project meets safety protocols, quality standards, schedule requirements, and client expectations from initial kickoff through to project closeout. This hands-on leadership role demands excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep commitment to operational excellence.

Key responsibilities include leading all on-site construction activities, managing subcontractor coordination, and overseeing field operations to ensure project success. The Superintendent will be responsible for managing project safety programs to maintain best-in-class jobsite standards, coordinating labor, materials, equipment, and site logistics to optimize workflow and efficiency. They will drive quality control initiatives and proactively resolve challenges that arise during construction. Building and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships is critical, as is supporting final project closeout procedures including punch-list completion and successful turnover. Job Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of experience as a lead superintendent on commercial interior or renovation projects
  • Proven experience managing projects up to $10M or more
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to supervise subcontractors and manage schedules effectively
  • Willingness to travel throughout the East Coast
  • Commitment to safety and quality
  • First Aid and CPR certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of experience as a lead superintendent on commercial interiors, tenant improvement, retail, hospitality, or renovation projects
  • Proven experience managing projects ranging up to $10M+
  • Strong background supervising subcontractors, schedules, logistics, and field operations
  • OSHA 30 certification required, additional safety credentials preferred
  • First Aid and CPR certification preferred
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Willingness to travel throughout the East Coast as required
