Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of three years progressive culinary experience
- at least one year experience as Lead Cook or Sous Chef
- strong leadership qualities
- ability to multitask and solve problems efficiently
- excellent interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- Three years of progressive culinary experience
- at least one year in a Lead Cook or Sous Chef position
- strong leadership and team management skills
- ability to work calmly under pressure
- knowledge of kitchen operations and menu item preparation
- excellent communication and organizational abilities
Job Duties
- Manage hourly back-of-house staff
- assist in day-to-day kitchen operations including production, prep, stewarding, purchasing and receiving
- train line cooks to prepare all menu items following established recipes
- ensure consistency of presentation and flavor
- lead kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef
- proactively handle obstacles and solve potential issues
- maintain and motivate a cohesive kitchen team
