Job Description
Rocket Farm Restaurants is a renowned hospitality group known for creating exceptional dining experiences through a culture deeply rooted in respect, dignity, and care. The company prides itself on a unique philosophy: "We serve the person who is serving the guest." This guiding principle extends beyond the guest-facing areas of the restaurant to every member of the team, especially within the kitchen. At Rocket Farm Restaurants, culture is not merely a performative act on the floor, it is a lived value that encourages how employees treat and support one another with mutual respect and care. This empathetic culture creates an environment where employees are valued, supported, and inspired to deliver outstanding service to guests with genuine hospitality. The company operates several acclaimed outlets across multiple cities, including Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville, Houston, Raleigh, and Winter Park, each embodying the vibrant and ethical work environment Rocket Farm is known for.
One of the jewels in its portfolio is Superica Nashville, a restaurant that infuses the spirit of the Old West with a warm, relaxed, yet upbeat atmosphere. Known for its vibrant Mexican cuisine, Superica offers guests an authentic culinary journey highlighted by flavorsome meals enjoyed over brunch, lunch, dinner, and refreshing margaritas. This vibrant locale is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sous Chef to join its team.
The Sous Chef role at Superica Nashville is pivotal to the kitchen’s harmonious and efficient operations. This role involves managing hourly back-of-house staff and supporting daily kitchen activities including production, preparation, stewarding, purchasing, and receiving. The position demands a hands-on leader who ensures that all kitchen staff are expertly trained to prepare menu items consistently, maintaining high standards of presentation and flavor fidelity per established recipes. The Sous Chef is also tasked with leading the kitchen in the Executive Chef’s absence, showcasing strong problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and an ability to handle pressure smoothly. This person is a natural leader who motivates and inspires the team to perform at their best while fostering a collaborative, positive work environment. Candidates typically have 3 years of progressive culinary experience, with at least one year as a Lead Cook or Sous Chef, highlighting the importance of leadership experience and culinary expertise.
This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $55,000 to $70,000 annually, dependent on experience, coupled with a generous quarterly bonus program. Rocket Farm Restaurants also offers comprehensive benefits that become available after 30 days of employment, including major medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage. Employees at Superica Nashville enjoy not only a supportive culture and ethical workplace but also opportunities for growth via dynamic, performance-based raises and promotions. The company supports a healthy work-life balance with paid time off, childbirth recovery leave, parental leave, and significant long-term retention bonuses. Package perks include time off on most major holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day, a 50% discount at all Rocket Farm locations nationwide, access to Rocket Farm University for leadership development, and employee-led mentorship programs, advisory councils, and safety committees.
Rocket Farm Restaurants is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion within the workplace, fully compliant with federal employment laws. Joining Superica Nashville as a Sous Chef means becoming part of a dynamic, innovative, and heartfelt community where culinary passion meets supportive leadership and career advancement opportunities. This role is perfect for culinary professionals seeking an enriching environment to showcase leadership while contributing to an outstanding guest experience in Nashville’s vibrant culinary scene.
