Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of three years progressive culinary experience
  • at least one year experience as Lead Cook or Sous Chef
  • strong leadership qualities
  • ability to multitask and solve problems efficiently
  • excellent interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • Three years of progressive culinary experience
  • at least one year in a Lead Cook or Sous Chef position
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • ability to work calmly under pressure
  • knowledge of kitchen operations and menu item preparation
  • excellent communication and organizational abilities

Job Duties

  • Manage hourly back-of-house staff
  • assist in day-to-day kitchen operations including production, prep, stewarding, purchasing and receiving
  • train line cooks to prepare all menu items following established recipes
  • ensure consistency of presentation and flavor
  • lead kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef
  • proactively handle obstacles and solve potential issues
  • maintain and motivate a cohesive kitchen team
