Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum five years of culinary experience
  • two years in a leadership role preferably as Sous Chef
  • ability to lead kitchen staff effectively
  • strong budgeting and scheduling skills
  • capacity to maintain high quality food standards
  • availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of progressive culinary experience
  • at least two years in a Sous Chef or similar leadership role
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • ability to work calmly under pressure
  • experience managing culinary budgets and labor schedules
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • passion for culinary innovation and quality

Job Duties

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of kitchen including production and prep
  • manage private parties and special events
  • supervise stewarding, purchasing, and receiving
  • ensure culinary staff consistently create menu items to the highest standards
  • run the kitchen effectively in the absence of the Executive Chef
  • manage culinary budget with focus on minimizing labor costs and overtime
  • lead and maintain a cohesive and motivated culinary team
