Part of the Bunkhouse hospitality family, Hotel Magdalena is dedicated to design, music, and fostering authentic community-driven experiences. With its serene surroundings and artistic influences, the hotel offers guests an immersive and memorable stay that goes beyond ordinary accommodations.
Within Hotel Magdalena, Summer on Music Lane stands as a full-service restaurant, drawing inspiration from the relaxed yet refined atmosphere typical of a lake house weekend. The Host or Hostess role at Hotel Magdalena is integral to the guest experience and overall hospitality service. This position involves warmly welcoming guests as they arrive, guiding them to tables or lounge areas, and ensuring their comfort throughout their visit. Success in this role depends heavily on excellent communication skills, the ability to resolve conflicts amicably, and a thorough knowledge of Bunkhouse policies. Hosts and hostesses are the frontline representatives of the hotel and restaurant, setting the tone for the guest experience with genuine and attentive service.
Additionally, the Host or Hostess is expected to uphold and exemplify the company's culture, values, and reputation. This team member plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment where each guest feels recognized and valued. Responsibilities include managing reservations, seating arrangements, and maintaining a clean and appealing dining area. Coordination with kitchen and serving staff is vital to ensure smooth operation and to promptly address any guest concerns or special requests.
The position at Hotel Magdalena offers a comprehensive benefits package that supports employee wellbeing and work-life balance. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401K plan with company match, and generous paid time off. Employees also enjoy perks such as free room nights, discounted rates for friends and family, and access to wellbeing initiatives like complimentary Headspace memberships. In addition to competitive compensation, the role provides opportunities to engage in a vibrant work environment that values design, music, and community authentic experiences.
In summary, joining Hotel Magdalena as a Host or Hostess means becoming part of a dynamic hospitality team that prioritizes heartfelt guest services and fosters personal and professional growth.
