The organization takes pride in fostering a workplace culture grounded in hospitality, respect, authenticity, and continuous positive impact for both internal and external stakeholders. Their mission emphasizes prioritizing the needs of others and excelling in service delivery with passion and professionalism.
The Summer Intern role at Schulte Companies offers a dynamic opportunity for enthusiastic individuals eager to gain hands-on experience within the hospitality sector. This internship is designed to provide a practical learning environment where candidates can immerse themselves in various aspects of hotel operations, including guest services, administrative functions, and back-of-house activities. Interns will participate actively in daily tasks that support the smooth operation of hotel departments. They will observe and contribute to delivering exceptional guest experiences while working closely with experienced departmental leaders who provide guidance and mentorship. Importantly, the internship offers exposure to internal systems, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and brand service standards, which are foundational to the company's operational excellence.
Participants in this internship will have opportunities to attend team meetings, participate in training sessions, and engage in cross-departmental shadowing, enhancing their understanding of hospitality operations from multiple perspectives. The role encourages flexibility, teamwork, and a proactive approach to tackling peak service periods, special events, and other operational needs. Interns are also tasked with gathering data related to hotel performance and guest satisfaction, contributing valuable feedback that supports continuous improvement initiatives. Throughout the internship, upholding company values and demonstrating professionalism are paramount. This role offers a supportive and enriching environment that helps interns build relevant skills, gain industry insight, and make meaningful professional connections.
Schulte Companies seeks candidates currently enrolled in or recently graduated from college or university programs related to Hospitality Management, Business, Tourism, or similarly aligned fields. While prior customer service or hospitality experience is advantageous, it is not a requirement, making this an inclusive opportunity ideal for individuals passionate about pursuing a career in hospitality. Eligible interns may receive academic credit, subject to their school's requirements. The role demands strong communication and interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, effective multitasking abilities, and basic proficiency with common computer applications such as Microsoft Office and email. Familiarity with hotel management systems is a plus. Flexibility with work schedules, including availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays, is essential to meet the operational demands encountered in hospitality settings.

The company ensures a fair recruitment process that may include phone interviews, manager interviews, background checks, drug screening, and reference verification. While specific salary and benefits details are discussed individually, the position is tipped eligible and offers Paid Time Off (PTO) for qualified associates.
