The role offered within this context is a Food Service Worker position under the supervision of the Director of Food Services. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and sanitary conditions of the food service facilities and equipment. Responsibilities include assisting in the preparation, setting up, serving, and selling of food items which contribute to the smooth operation of school meal programs. The Food Service Worker will contribute significantly to the overall student experience by ensuring meals are prepared and served efficiently and hygienically. The position demands physical stamina as it involves frequently lifting or moving objects weighing 25 to 50 pounds, standing or walking for extended periods, and handling food service equipment skillfully. The ideal candidate will be capable of working quickly and efficiently while following oral and written instructions and maintaining cooperative relationships with colleagues and supervisors. While no prior experience or formal education is required, candidates must have valid transportation, including a California Driver's License and proof of automobile insurance upon hiring.
