Job Description

Habitat for Humanity is a globally recognized non-profit organization dedicated to building affordable homes and fostering community development. This particular opportunity is offered through Baylor University in partnership with the Waco Habitat for Humanity, located in Waco, Texas. The organization relies heavily on the support of the community and volunteers to successfully execute its mission to eliminate substandard housing and provide safe, decent homes for those in need. The Waco Habitat for Humanity branch is deeply committed to community service, engaging local partners and residents in meaningful ways to create lasting impacts. This role is classified under Community Service and specifically designed for students, providing not only valuable professional experience but also an opportunity to contribute to important social initiatives. The position is part-time, requiring 20 hours per week during the Fall and Spring semesters, with a standard Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Compensation is set at $12.00 per hour, with the additional requirement that candidates must be eligible for Federal Work-Study programs. Reliable transportation is necessary as this is an off-campus position based at 220 N. 11th Street, Waco, TX.
