Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company is a global leader in the specialty coffee industry, renowned for crafting the world’s finest coffee and creating warm, welcoming spaces where every cup serves as an opportunity to spark connection and joy. As a premium coffeehouse chain, Starbucks has built an iconic brand that is synonymous with quality, sustainability, and community engagement. With thousands of stores across numerous countries, Starbucks is committed to providing not only premium beverages and food offerings but also an environment that fosters meaningful experiences for customers and partners alike.

Starbucks operates with a mission to inspire and nurture the human spirit—one person, one cup, and one neighborhood at a time. The company invests heavily in its partners (employees), offering comprehensive benefits, career development opportunities, and a culture that values inclusivity and growth. This commitment makes Starbucks not just a place to work but a place to thrive, build lasting relationships, and make a tangible impact in the community.

The Coffeehouse Leader role at Starbucks is more than management; it is a leadership position that requires the ability to create moments of connection between the store, the customers, and the community. This role is responsible for leading a team to deliver excellent customer service while emphasizing operational excellence and business results. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in retail or customer service management or military experience that translates into strong organizational and leadership skills.

This position demands a leader who embraces an entrepreneurial mindset, is passionate about coaching and mentoring team partners, and is committed to maintaining high standards in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment. The Coffeehouse Leader will ensure the store operates smoothly with a focus on delivering exceptional coffee, driving sales, meeting financial objectives, and cultivating a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Employment is full-time, and the position may require working variable hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Starbucks offers competitive pay based on various factors such as experience, skills, and location, along with an extensive benefits package designed to support partners and their families.

As a Starbucks partner, you will gain access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, basic and supplemental life insurance, disability coverage, paid parental leave, paid vacation and sick time, paid holidays, personal days, and retirement plans with employer match. Additionally, Starbucks offers unique educational benefits, including 100% tuition coverage for a bachelor’s degree through Arizona State University’s online program, student loan assistance, and other educational resources.

Starbucks also provides financial well-being tools, employee stock purchase programs, emergency savings incentives, and various voluntary insurance options. The company is dedicated to compliance with state and local employment laws and is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. They also provide reasonable accommodations for job applicants with disabilities.

Joining Starbucks as a Coffeehouse Leader means becoming part of a community where people, quality, and value matter deeply. It is a chance to grow personally and professionally, contribute to a brand that cares about social and environmental impact, and lead a team that delivers unforgettable customer experiences every day. If you are passionate about leadership, coffee culture, and creating positive connections, this role offers a rewarding career path that blends craft, heart, and entrepreneurship.
