Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally recognized leader in the coffeehouse industry, widely celebrated for its commitment to crafting the world’s finest coffee and fostering meaningful connections with its customers. Established as a premier specialty coffee retailer, Starbucks has built a reputation not only for the quality of its coffee but also for creating warm, welcoming spaces where people from all walks of life can come together and experience moments of connection. Operating thousands of stores worldwide, Starbucks emphasizes ethical sourcing, sustainability, and community engagement, making it more than just a place to enjoy coffee – it is a community hub and a place where culture and quality meet.

At Starbucks, the role of a coffeehouse leader is integral to the company’s mission of delivering a remarkable customer experience. This role goes beyond managing day-to-day operations; it is about leading a dedicated team that shares a passion for coffee making and customer service. The coffeehouse leader is responsible for inspiring and motivating their partners (employees) to craft each cup with care, promote a positive work environment, and ensure that every customer interaction results in a memorable experience. With a focus on both craft and heart, Starbucks encourages its leaders to uphold its standards of quality, inclusivity, and innovation.

This full-time leadership position demands strong organizational and interpersonal skills, an entrepreneurial mind-set, and the ability to mentor and coach a diverse team. Leaders cultivate an atmosphere where partners can grow professionally and personally through ongoing developmental experiences and comprehensive industry-leading benefits. Starbucks offers a robust package that supports not only the leader but their families as well, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid parental leave, and education benefits such as 100% tuition coverage for a first-time bachelor’s degree through Arizona State University’s online program.

The ideal candidate for the coffeehouse leader role comes with at least three years of retail or customer service management experience or four or more years of U.S. Military service. This background equips candidates with a strong foundation in leadership, problem-solving, and sales-focused environments. Those who join Starbucks in this capacity will have the opportunity to create lasting impacts in their communities, build meaningful relationships, and contribute to an inclusive culture where every partner and customer feels valued.

Starbucks highly values diversity, equity, inclusion, and equal opportunity. Qualified individuals from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply. The company also commits to providing reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities and promotes policies consistent with various state and local employment laws. Compensation varies based on experience, location, and position level, ensuring fair and equitable pay practices. Join Starbucks and become part of a global brand that’s dedicated to crafting exceptional coffee and inspiring connections worldwide.
