The role of Store Team Member, referred to internally as Merchandiser, plays a pivotal part in shaping the Total Wine & More brand through exceptional customer service and efficient inventory management. This position is available in both part-time and full-time capacities, with responsibilities primarily focused on merchandising but adaptable to sales, front-end duties, and other operational tasks as required. Store Team Members play a key role in maximizing product inventory by processing freight, organizing stock, building displays, and placing signage. They also support the company’s growing digital business by fulfilling online orders and assisting with in-store and curbside pickups and deliveries, which may include driving and making deliveries when assigned.

Delivering a personalized customer experience is central to this role, with team members expected to greet shoppers warmly, engage in meaningful conversations to build relationships, and share product knowledge through ongoing training in wines, spirits, and beers. Beyond sales, Store Team Members maintain awareness of current promotions, advertisements, and the growing loyalty programs designed to enhance customer engagement and satisfaction. Safety and cleanliness standards across the store must be upheld at all times, alongside strict adherence to all legal regulations regarding alcohol sales, ensuring a compliant and secure shopping environment.

The position requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing and walking for long periods, lifting heavy items, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions. Candidates must be at least 21 years old to fulfill the legal requirements of alcohol sales and must be capable of safely handling merchandise and deliveries.
