Job Description
We are an established leader in the retail industry, proudly recognized as America’s largest independent retailer specializing in wine, spirits, beer, and related products. Our company is committed to delivering an exceptional shopping experience to customers through a carefully curated selection of beverages and knowledgeable, friendly service. With a strong presence in communities across the nation, we emphasize not only product quality but also community engagement and customer satisfaction. Our store environment is designed to be welcoming and informative, providing customers with everything they need for celebrations, gifts, or personal enjoyment.
As a Stocking Associate/Merchandiser, you will play a pivotal role in the daily operations and overall customer experience within our stores. Internally referred to as a Merchandiser, you will report directly to the store management team and be at the heart of ensuring the store runs smoothly and efficiently. The role is multifaceted, combining inventory management, merchandising, customer engagement, and safety compliance responsibilities.
Your core duties will include processing incoming freight, organizing and distributing inventory effectively, and ensuring that merchandise is stocked accurately and attractively. You will use your creativity and attention to detail to build engaging product displays and end caps that attract customer attention and encourage sales. Additionally, you will be responsible for placing signage throughout the store to optimize the shopping experience and support promotional activities.
In this position, you will also support our growing digital business by fulfilling online orders and assisting with various customer pickup options, including in-store, curbside, and delivery services. On occasion, your role may expand to include driving and making deliveries, sales duties, or working at the front end of the store, offering a dynamic and varied workday.
Customer interaction is a significant aspect of this role. You will greet customers warmly, engage them to build rapport, and share your knowledge about our diverse wine, spirits, and beer selections to enhance their experience. Ongoing product training is provided to deepen your expertise, enabling you to stay informed about new arrivals, current promotions, advertisements, and loyalty programs. This knowledge empowers you to provide valuable recommendations and increase customer satisfaction.
Safety, cleanliness, and compliance are fundamental to the role. You will ensure that the store maintains high standards of cleanliness and that all operations comply with relevant laws and regulations, particularly those pertaining to alcohol sales. Creating a safe environment for both customers and staff is a top priority.
This position offers hourly compensation ranging from $14.05 to $19.66, varying based on location, knowledge, skills, and experience, always meeting or exceeding local minimum wage requirements. We value our team members highly and provide comprehensive benefits through our Total Rewards program, including paid time off, store discounts, health care plans covering medical, prescription, dental, and vision needs, 401k retirement plans, and college tuition assistance. If you possess a flexible schedule, a willingness to work evenings and weekends, and an energetic, entrepreneurial spirit, this is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in a unique and supportive retail environment.
