The role of Store Team Member, internally referred to as Merchandiser, is an essential position within Total Wine & More’s retail operations. This role involves a variety of responsibilities focusing mainly on merchandising tasks, supporting sales activities, and enhancing operational efficiency both in-store and online. Team members maximize product inventory by processing freight, organizing stock, pulling and replenishing merchandise, building attractive displays and end caps, and placing promotional signage. In addition to these merchandising duties, the role requires supporting digital business operations by fulfilling online orders and assisting with in-store and curbside pick-up and delivery services, which may occasionally involve driving and making deliveries.

A key aspect of the role is delivering exceptional and personalized customer service. Team members greet and engage customers, build relationships, and provide product and service information to enhance the overall shopping experience. Participants also receive training in wine, spirits, and beer to build comprehensive product knowledge and stay informed about company advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs. Maintaining safety and cleanliness standards across the store is a priority, along with ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol.

This position may involve cross-functional responsibilities and additional duties as assigned by store management. For those roles that include delivery functions, safety and professionalism in handling and transporting orders while adhering to traffic and safety laws are mandatory.
