The role open at Pacific Hospitality Group is for a Stewarding Supervisor, an integral position within the hotel’s food and beverage operations. This is an hourly position with pay ranging from $18 to $22 an hour, providing a competitive wage in the hospitality sector. The Stewarding Supervisor will lead a team of stewards and ensure that all kitchen and dining areas maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation. This leadership position requires close collaboration with kitchen and food and beverage teams to ensure smooth and efficient service during busy periods as well as events such as banquets.
The Stewarding Supervisor is responsible for assigning, supervising, and monitoring the daily tasks of the stewarding team, which includes cleaning kitchen utensils, dishes, cooking equipment, floors, walls, and storage areas. Maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations is paramount, as well as ensuring appropriate storage and inventory control of cleaning materials and kitchen equipment. The supervisor also plays an important role in training and motivating staff, fostering a positive work environment, and addressing any issues related to cleanliness or kitchen operation promptly and professionally.
In addition, the Stewarding Supervisor oversees the maintenance and proper functioning of dishwashing and kitchen equipment, coordinating with maintenance teams for timely repairs. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in stewarding in a hotel, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Supervise and lead a team of stewards, assigning tasks and ensuring efficient cleaning operations within the kitchen and dining areas
- Monitor the performance and productivity of stewards, providing feedback and training to improve work standards
- Motivate the team and maintain a positive and productive work environment
- Oversee the cleaning of all kitchen utensils, dishes, glassware, and cooking equipment, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment, floors, walls, and storage areas are cleaned and sanitized regularly according to safety and health regulations
- Inspect kitchen areas and equipment regularly to ensure proper cleanliness and adherence to hygiene standards
- Maintain cleaning schedules for all areas of the kitchen and dining service areas, ensuring tasks are completed on time
