This position is within one of Azul Hospitality's resort kitchens and focuses on supporting food and beverage operations by ensuring cleanliness, organization, and efficient service. The role involves cleaning, transporting, and storing all pots, pans, silverware, glassware, and china used in the food and beverage outlets. The individual selected will operate commercial dishwashing machines, sanitize kitchen equipment and food preparation areas, and assist with plating, prepping, and serving food as necessary. This role is critical in maintaining the resort's hygiene standards, supporting the kitchen team, and ensuring that food service areas are stocked and ready for operation each day.

In addition to sanitation duties, the role includes responsibilities such as handling spills and breakages promptly, assisting in order receiving and storage, and participating in deep cleaning tasks to uphold the resort's high cleanliness standards. The job also demands compliance with safety protocols and requires the ability to interact effectively with other team members and guests as needed to support the hotel's service goals.

Ideal candidates should be physically capable of working in a demanding environment with exposure to extreme temperatures and the ability to lift and push heavy items. Attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently are essential. Prior hospitality or restaurant experience and Safe Server Alcohol & Food certification are advantageous but not mandatory. Job Requirements

  • High school or equivalent education required
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace
  • Must be detail oriented with outstanding organizational and communication skills
  • Must possess basic computational ability
  • Self-driven and able to work independently
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to four hours
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs
  • Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs
  • Must maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per company standards
  • Prior hospitality or restaurant experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Clean and sanitize all china, glassware, silverware, flatware, pots, and pans in the resort
  • Operate commercial dishwashing machine and maintain a hygienic working environment in accordance with hygiene regulations and company standards
  • Ensure all food and beverage outlets have the necessary amounts of all items to properly open their shifts and that there are sufficient racks in which to place dirty dishes, silver, pots, and pans
  • Ensure that all spills and breakage are attended to immediately and proper safety procedures are followed
  • Responsible for the proper sanitation and cleanliness of all kitchens and food preparation areas, including ovens, grills, stoves, hoods, fryers, preparation slicers, steam kettles, tables, and floors
  • Remove and dispose bags from trash receptacles
  • Participate in the deep cleaning of the outlet
  • Report any maintenance and/or hazard issues to the supervisor on duty
  • Assist service team as necessary to meet and exceed guest expectations
  • Assist in receiving orders and storing orders in the appropriate locations while adhering to health and safety standards
  • Assist with prepping, plating, and serving food as requested by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef
  • Perform other duties assigned by managers and supervisors
