Job Description

Piedmont Driving Club stands as a historic and prestigious private club located in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia. Founded in 1887, it has been serving nearly 2,400 members and their families with unparalleled amenities and service for well over a century. Recognized as a Platinum Club of America, the Piedmont Driving Club's Main Clubhouse is an iconic establishment nestled between the Atlanta Botanical Garden and Piedmont Park. This esteemed club offers a broad variety of recreational, leisure, and social activities, including racquet sports, swimming, fitness facilities, and exquisite dining experiences. Beyond the impressive facilities, the club is renowned for its warm and inclusive community, fostering meaningful relationships among members and employees alike. The club’s work environment prioritizes respect, recognition, and personal growth, ensuring that each staff member's contributions are valued and that they feel supported throughout their tenure.

The role available at the Piedmont Driving Club is for a Kitchen Steward/Dishwasher within the Main Clubhouse. This is a pivotal position responsible for maintaining impeccable cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dish areas to ensure seamless culinary operations. The Kitchen Steward is credited with the essential task of washing and properly storing all kitchen utensils, china, flatware, and glassware in adherence to safety and sanitation standards. This role demands a dependable, detail-oriented individual committed to delivering excellence and supporting the overall dining experience of the club's distinguished members. The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $17.00 to $19.00 per hour, reflecting the value Piedmont Driving Club places on this vital role. Alongside competitive wages, the position includes valuable benefits such as medical insurance with subsidized premiums, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company participation, paid time off accrued weekly, weekly pay with emergency on-demand access, complimentary parking, uniforms, and daily shift meals.

In addition to fulfilling daily operational duties, the Kitchen Steward will work within a team-oriented environment where communication, professionalism, accountability, quality, and teamwork—the club’s core values—are integral to success. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of similar work experience, possess a high school diploma or GED, and ideally hold a food safety certification. Physical stamina and the ability to perform various kitchen duties efficiently and safely are also essential for this role. The position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, embraces responsibility, and takes pride in maintaining a safe, sanitary kitchen that ultimately contributes to an exceptional member experience.

Joining Piedmont Driving Club means becoming part of a historic, respectful, and member-focused culture that values every employee’s dedication and effort. It offers not just employment but an opportunity to contribute to a longstanding tradition of excellence and community. Candidates who are dependable, hardworking, attentive to detail, and enthusiastic about working behind the scenes to support a world-class dining and recreational venue should apply without delay. By becoming a Kitchen Steward at the Piedmont Driving Club, you embark on a rewarding career path where your work directly impacts member satisfaction and the club’s continued legacy of distinguished service.
