Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in kitchen sanitation or dishwashing preferred
  • ability to operate kitchen machinery such as dishwashers and trash compactors

Job Duties

  • Sweep and mop floors at appropriate intervals to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards
  • operate large electric machines such as dishwashers, sanitizers, trash compactors, and glass crushers
  • wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks and all other food prep surfaces as assigned
  • segregate and remove trash and garbage and place it in designated containers
  • steam clean or hose out garbage cans in appropriate and assigned areas
  • wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils and other food preparation machines and equipment
  • transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas observing all safe lifting standards
  • collect used kitchenware from dining and or kitchen areas
  • load and unload dishwashing machine, ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation of dishes
  • hand wash specific items according to assigned procedures
  • store and restock clean kitchenware
  • maintain cleaning supplies stock, transfer cleaning supplies between storage and work area
  • keep a clean and orderly workstation
  • comply with all sanitation and safety policies and procedures
  • wash work tables and other food prep areas to cleanliness standards
