As a Steward at Sodexo within the Miami Beach Convention Center, you will play an essential role in maintaining sanitation and operational readiness in the back-of-house environment. This part-time position offers a competitive pay rate of $18.64 per hour and requires flexibility with varying shifts and open availability preferred. In this role, you are responsible for supporting food service operations by keeping kitchen and service support areas clean, safe, and organized through thorough sanitation, warewashing, and equipment care.
Your contribution helps uphold the quality and safety standards that Sodexo is known for in critical service environments such as restaurants, banquets, concessions, premium services, and catering operations. Working closely under the guidance of Steward Supervisors or culinary leadership, you will assist in event-driven service demands and daily operational requirements tailored to the size and specific needs of the unit.
Key responsibilities include executing opening and closing sanitation procedures, ensuring proper organization and storage of equipment, supplies, and service ware, and handling waste, recycling, and grease removal according to established protocols. The role demands maintaining floors, drains, and work surfaces to meet stringent cleanliness and safety standards, requiring physical ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 35 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 40 pounds.

- Previous experience in stewarding, sanitation, or food service support roles preferred
