The role of Steward at Sodexo, based at Hard Rock Stadium, is a vital part of the organization’s food service operations. This is a part-time position with a pay rate of $18 per hour. The Steward supports the kitchen and service support areas by maintaining cleanliness, safety, and organization in the back-of-house environment. This includes sanitation duties, warewashing, care of kitchen equipment, and ensuring all workspaces are prepared for service, whether for restaurants, banquets, concessions, premium services, or catering operations. Stewards work closely under the guidance of the Steward Supervisor or culinary leadership and play a key role in supporting both the daily routine and the high demands of event-driven services. The shifts are varying, requiring availability across different days and hours, with preference given to open availability. This position involves physically demanding tasks such as lifting and moving items of varying weights up to 40 pounds, maintaining floors, drains, and work surfaces to meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Stewards also handle waste management responsibly, including recycling and grease removal according to established procedures. The role is essential for creating a safe and efficient workspace that allows culinary teams to operate smoothly and deliver outstanding service. Job Requirements
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
- Previous experience in stewarding, sanitation, or food service support roles preferred

Job Duties
- Support opening and closing sanitation procedures for food service areas
- Assist with organization and proper storage of equipment, supplies, and service ware
- Handle waste, recycling, and grease removal in accordance with established procedures
- Maintain floors, drains, and work surfaces to meet cleanliness and safety standards
- Frequently lift and move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 40 pounds
- Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
- Perform other duties as assigned depending on business necessities and client requirements
