Job Duties
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools such as dishwashers, handwash stations, pot scrubbing stations, and waste compactors
- wash and disinfect kitchen and storage areas, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment
- receive deliveries, store perishable products properly, and rotate stock
- ensure clean dishes are stored in appropriate areas
- use chemical detergents, sanitizers, and rinse agents to clean dishes
- inspect, remove, and stack clean items, and send dirty items back for re-cleaning
- place items on racks and spray with hot water to loosen food residue
- sort, soak, and wash cutlery
- classify and separate containers for dirty items
- empty trash bins and maintain waste deposit areas
- clean and mop assigned areas
- dispose of glass in correct containers
- break down cardboard boxes and recycle appropriately
- comply with company safety policies and report hazards
- communicate clearly and professionally
- develop positive working relationships and support team goals
- lift, push, pull, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted
- stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- perform reasonable additional tasks as assigned
