The company prides itself on delivering exceptional customer experiences with the help of their expert agents, known as "Experts," who rely on powerful and reliable technology platforms to provide outstanding service.
Asurion is currently looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join their Hub team in Nashville, TN. This is an exempt position at the senior management level (6 Senior Manager), reporting directly to the Director of Engineering. The Hub team plays a critical role in developing the technology that enables Asurion's Experts to deliver exceptional service efficiently. They focus on building full-stack, cloud-native applications using modern engineering practices such as automated testing and continuous delivery. Engineers collaborate closely with Product, Design, and business stakeholders to create secure, scalable, and user-friendly software that supports essential business workflows.
The role of Staff Software Engineer is designed for highly experienced engineers who are passionate about technical leadership, mentorship, and delivering scalable, reliable software solutions. As a senior individual contributor, you will take ownership of the entire technical lifecycle of complex features from design through production. You will be responsible for partnering across departments to translate business needs into intuitive software solutions and contribute to architectural decisions that evolve the technical direction of the team's applications. The position demands strong expertise in cloud-native technologies, distributed systems, and modern programming practices, along with the ability to mentor junior engineers and foster best practices around Agile development, code quality, and operational excellence.
This role emphasizes hands-on software development combined with strategic decision-making and collaboration to ensure the delivery of high-quality software that meets business goals. You will champion engineering best practices such as automated testing, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and proactive troubleshooting of production issues. Additionally, the use of AI-assisted development tools is encouraged to boost productivity and code quality, reflecting Asurion's commitment to innovation.
If you thrive in a collaborative, product-focused environment and seek to grow your impact as a technical leader while mentoring talented engineers, this opportunity with Asurion's Hub team offers a rewarding and challenging career path. You'll be part of a forward-thinking company with a culture that values ownership, continuous learning, and measurable outcomes through technology.
