This entails overseeing the implementation of observability, automation, and operational excellence strategies that drive superior performance of Disney's commerce technologies.

The Senior Manager is tasked with developing and executing comprehensive departmental business, production, and organizational plans. This oversight includes resource allocation aimed at meeting strategic objectives while maintaining accountability for the results produced by their teams. Leveraging extensive expertise in Site Reliability Engineering, the individual in this role integrates reliability principles across engineering, security, and business domains, fostering innovation and resilience. A key component of the position involves influencing senior stakeholders both within and outside the organization to secure necessary funding, guide technology strategy, and promote adoption of best practices related to reliability.

Responsibilities extend to leading multiple Site Reliability Engineering teams, cultivating a culture that prioritizes reliability, automation, and continuous improvement. The role requires guiding infrastructure modernization efforts using automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, Harness, GitLab, and Kubernetes to support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
