As a trusted brokerage and wealth management company, Schwab offers a broad spectrum of investment services including trading, retirement planning, financial advisory, and comprehensive wealth management solutions. With a robust national presence, Schwab is celebrated for its client-centric approach, fiduciary standards, and dedication to creating long-term relationships based on trust and excellence in financial planning.
The Senior Manager, Wealth Advisor position at Schwab is a pivotal role within the Schwab Wealth Advisory division, a fee-based, non-discretionary investment advisory service designed to provide personalized financial guidance supported by thorough planning and investment expertise. This role invites seasoned financial professionals to engage deeply with clients, managing complex financial planning scenarios and advising on investment strategies aligned with clients' unique goals and risk profiles. The Senior Manager will collaborate closely with a highly skilled advisory team, leveraging Schwab's distinct methodology to support clients in making informed, strategic decisions that safeguard and grow their wealth over time.
This position is a regular full-time role based in Walnut Creek, California, with a competitive salary range of $168,000 to $228,000 annually. In addition to the base salary, the role offers bonus or incentive opportunities, recognizing performance and contribution to client success. The Senior Manager, Wealth Advisor will be expected to work on-site, fostering collaboration and close teamwork in the office environment.
Ideal candidates for this role are those who excel in relationship-driven environments; they must demonstrate exceptional communication skills, combining clarity with empathy to build and maintain trust with clients. The role demands proactivity, a strong sense of ownership, and a commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality advisory services that enhance client confidence and promote long-term retention. The successful applicant will show expertise in navigating sensitive conversations, managing multiple priorities efficiently, and structuring holistic financial plans that address complex, multifaceted client needs such as concentrated investment positions, tax-aware strategies, and multi-goal financial planning.
Schwab values continuous learning and leadership at all levels. The Senior Manager will possess a senior learning mindset, embracing feedback and incorporating industry best practices to continually elevate advisory quality and client experience. Judgment and risk awareness are equally important, as the advisor must recognize when issues require escalation or additional expertise to maintain fiduciary responsibility and regulatory compliance.
Schwab fosters an empowering work culture anchored by trust, collaboration, and growth opportunities. The company supports the professional development of its team through ongoing learning, leadership coaching, and a work environment that balances remote flexibility with the benefits of in-office engagement. The employee benefits package is designed to support the whole person, including competitive retirement savings plans with company matching, paid leave options, family support programs, tuition reimbursement, and comprehensive health coverage.
This role is a rare opportunity for a passionate financial advisor to advance their career within a prestigious firm known for innovation and client commitment, helping clients achieve their most important financial goals while contributing meaningfully to an acclaimed advisory team.
