Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business or marketing preferred
Minimum 5 years foodservice category management experience required
Experience in quick service restaurant, convenience store, or fresh food environment preferred
Menu strategy and/or marketing experience preferred
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Proven success influencing at multiple organizational levels
Comfortable presenting to leadership
Ability to analyze and synthesize data
Highly self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team
Strong interest in industry trends
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb ladders
Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
Willingness to travel regionally and nationally occasionally

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Lead category management team in creating menu and assortment strategy by category that complements the brand offering
Provide leadership to category managers to develop tactics supporting business goals
Collaborate with Foodservice Department leadership on long-term menu and packaging strategy
Manage budgeting process and ensure business delivers on its commitments
Lead team in developing annual category plans including assortment, positioning, product improvements, and promotional planning
Oversee financial results of proprietary Fresh Food & Beverage program
Manage rebate and marketing funds process to ensure proper collection and allocation
Lead development of product and promotional calendar including new product launches and limited time offers
Work with Innovation Manager to prioritize product development
Collaborate with Merchandising leadership to cross-promote
Set product messaging priorities with Marketing Strategy team
Collaborate with analytics team to provide timely P&L analysis and lead business performance updates
Conduct assortment and pricing reviews based on sales data, market research, customer feedback
Perform SKU rationalization to optimize offers
Validate pricing and promotional strategies with Pricing Analytics Team
Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate terms, pricing and agreements
Foster a positive, collaborative work environment encouraging teamwork and professional development
Provide direct leadership to category management team and ensure individual development plans
Promote communication, collaboration, and curiosity within team
