At Aimbridge Hospitality, every team member plays a vital role in creating memorable stays for guests, contributing to the company’s reputation for quality and excellence.
The Front Desk Assistant Manager OEM role at Aimbridge Hospitality places you at the forefront of guest interaction, ensuring that every arrival and departure is seamless and welcoming. This position works closely with the Front Desk Manager to oversee daily front office operations and deliver superior customer service. As an overtime eligible manager, the role demands a proactive, detail-oriented individual who can balance operational responsibilities with guest engagement and team leadership. You will be instrumental in driving room revenue and maintaining high occupancy rates, all while fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
The SpringHill Suites Newark Liberty International Airport property, known for its all-suite concept with spacious, comfortable accommodations, serves as the workplace for this role. The hotel offers amenities such as complimentary breakfast, an indoor pool, fitness center, free Wi-Fi, Marriott bedding, and shuttle services to Newark Airport. Its prime location provides easy access to major attractions like Red Bull Arena and Prudential Center, catering to both business travelers and leisure guests.
In this capacity, you will lead by example, motivating and coaching the front desk team to uphold high standards of service and operational efficiency. Your problem-solving skills will be critical as you anticipate and resolve guest concerns calmly and effectively, ensuring smooth operations during high-pressure situations. You'll manage various operational details, from room revenue oversight to maintaining system accuracy and employee appearance standards.
This role requires a blend of financial acumen, organizational skills, and hands-on leadership experience. Ideal candidates bring a minimum of a two-year college degree supplemented by relevant hotel experience, or a four-year degree with related work history. A background that includes supervisory responsibilities within a hotel or similar environment will set you up for success here. Additionally, compliance with certification requirements such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid may be necessary.
Aimbridge Hospitality offers a comprehensive benefits package that supports the well-being and growth of its employees. Full-time team members become eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverage, disability income protection, life insurance, paid time off, employee assistance programs, and a 401k retirement plan. The company also offers the innovative perk of daily pay, giving employees timely access to their earnings.
