The SR Prime Specialty Lead Cook plays a pivotal role under the guidance of the Senior Prime Executive Chef, focusing on the preparation, cooking, and presentation of all hot entrees. This position requires a deep understanding of steakhouse cuisine and an ability to manage proper portion control and exemplary plating standards. The Specialty Lead Cook not only cooks but also supervises other kitchen staff, ensuring all kitchen stations are well-stocked and that meals are prepared in a timely and efficient manner.

This role demands a professional who is committed to guest service excellence and ethical conduct, fostering positive relations within both the kitchen team and the restaurant's guests. Responsibilities include assisting with food preparation, presentation, decoration, and storage, as well as maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The Specialty Lead Cook is expected to work safely, comply with all department and company policies, and support other kitchen operations within the casino when necessary.

This full-time position requires a candidate with substantial culinary experience, particularly in a steakhouse setting, with at least three years in such an environment and five years of overall culinary experience. Candidates must hold a High School Diploma or equivalent, with additional education in Food Service or Culinary Arts preferred. Holding certifications such as Food Handler and ServSafe is mandatory, along with a gaming license required for casino operation compliance.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership skills through supervising kitchen staff, managing workflow, and ensuring quality control while adapting to fast-paced service demands. They will also communicate effectively with superiors regarding any challenges or feedback and participate in training sessions to maintain skill development.   • Possession of a gaming license

Job Duties

  • Supervises the work of cooks to ensure that all given tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Ensures that all cooking stations are adequately stocked with the necessary meal ingredients and cooking equipment
  • Prepares all hot entrees and proper portion control of items ordered for assigned outlet
  • Assists with the preparation, presentation, decoration, and storage of all food items
  • Communicates to his/her superior any difficulties, guest or internal customer comment and other relevant information
  • Complies with all department and company rules, regulations, policies, procedures and internal controls and government rules and regulations
  • Works in a safe manner at all times
