As an event-based role within ABM, the Event Based Parking Attendant position primarily involves managing cash and electronic transactions with parking customers during events. This role is integral to ensuring smooth parking operations at event venues by assisting visitors with parking payments, setting up cones and parking signs, and directing traffic flow inside and outside parking structures to enhance safety and efficiency. This position requires flexibility with scheduling, as assignments are event-based and involve working evenings and weekends to accommodate various event times.

The Event Based Parking Attendant is expected to approach and greet customers in a professional and friendly manner while using respectful communication to assist guests with their questions or concerns. They will be responsible for issuing and collecting visitor parking tickets, matching tickets to parking rate schedules, collecting proper payments, and distributing correct change. Reconciliation of receipts, cash, and charges is also a critical duty to maintain accurate accounting of all funds handled. Additionally, the attendant must ensure that the work environment remains clean, orderly, and safe, and that any accidents or safety concerns are promptly reported to management.

This role is suitable for candidates new to the workforce or those returning who have limited experience or education, with on-the-job training provided. Job Duties

  • Approach and greet all customers in a friendly, professional manner
  • use respectful communication to assist guests with their questions, problems, and concerns
  • relay customer concerns and/or information to shift lead or Operations Manager as necessary
  • be quick and responsive to provide excellent customer service
  • follow all company procedures and comply with all safety regulations
  • issue and/or collect visitor parking tickets
  • match visitor ticket to parking rate schedule
  • collect proper payment from visitors and distribute correct change
  • reconcile receipts, cash, and charges
  • accurately account for all funds within cashier drawer
  • perform revenue drops following specific location procedures
  • maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area
  • immediately report accidents, incidents or safety concerns to Operations Manager or Shift Lead
  • communicate professionally at all times with guests, clients, and teammates
  • direct traffic inside and outside the parking structure to maintain efficient traffic flow
  • set up and move cones and parking signs inside and outside parking structure as needed
