The Special Events Manager role at Fox Restaurant Concepts is a vibrant and pivotal position designed for a proactive and personable professional who thrives in fast-paced environments. The Special Events Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire event planning process, managing incoming leads, closing deals, and ensuring flawless execution of events from start to finish. This position demands a leader who is outgoing, communicative, and adept at relationship building, with a proven track record in event management within high-volume settings.

This role is integral to the Fox Restaurant Concepts team, tasked with managing event bookings through channels such as Open Table, telephone, and email, as well as using event software effectively. The manager supports sales goals by securing group bookings, developing new sales opportunities, and fostering loyalty with repeat guests. Collaboration with the general manager and executive chef is crucial to ensure that each event meets the company's high standards. The job also involves participating in networking events to create partnerships and expand the business's reach.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in events management or related field
  • proven experience in a high volume events environment
  • restaurant or hospitality industry experience preferred
  • proficiency with event management software
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • eligibility to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Have 3+ years of experience in a high volume events environment
  • restaurant or similar experience preferred
  • strong oral and written communication skills
  • catering/event software experience
  • able to work flexible, sometimes long hours
  • excellent customer service

Job Duties

  • Manage all incoming leads via Open Table, telephone, email and other channels
  • assist with managing event software
  • close deals and assist guests from start to finish with all event planning needs
  • manage annual sales goals for selected restaurants by booking group events
  • seek out new sales opportunities and partnerships, initiating action plans and attending networking events to procure new business
  • build guest loyalty and book repeat business
  • communicate with the service team all event details
  • partner with General Manager and Executive Chef to ensure flawless event execution
  • book small to large events and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • work on-site to build a solid team atmosphere
