Job Description
Our organization is dedicated to providing exceptional summer camp experiences across the USA, focusing on creating an inclusive, fun, and memorable environment for campers and staff alike. With a strong commitment to health, wellness, and community, we operate seasonal camps each year that draw diverse groups of children and adults who enjoy a variety of recreational and educational activities. Our camps are known for their vibrant atmospheres, dedicated staff, and high standards of safety and nutrition, ensuring every guest leaves with positive, impactful memories.
We are currently seeking a Special Dietary Chef for Summer Camp 2026 (May-August) to join our culinary team and serve up to 800 campers and staff daily. This seasonal position offers a unique opportunity to combine culinary expertise with a passion for inclusivity and nutrition within a dynamic, outdoor camp setting. The Special Dietary Chef will play a key role in creating menus accommodating a wide array of dietary restrictions, including gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, and allergy-friendly options. Beyond cooking, this role involves overseeing kitchen operations, maintaining rigorous food safety and sanitation standards, and leading a team of kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient culinary service for every meal and special event.
This position demands a detail-oriented and creative culinary professional who thrives in large-scale meal preparation and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. The Special Dietary Chef will collaborate closely with the Food Service Director to monitor food quality, control costs, and provide training and mentorship to the kitchen team. As food is a cornerstone of the camp experience, this role requires not only culinary skill but also a warm, welcoming approach to creating unforgettable dining experiences that contribute to the overall spirit of the camp. This seasonal opportunity is perfect for chefs looking to apply their talents in a meaningful, impactful way while enjoying the excitement and energy of summer camp life.
