Pacific Hospitality Group is currently seeking a Spa Manager to join their pre-opening team for the new Denu Hotel & Spa, a luxury wellness concept designed to provide an exceptional spa experience rooted in holistic wellness and seasonal offerings. This opportunity presents a chance to build and influence a flagship spa from the ground up, shaping its identity, developing operational procedures, hiring and training staff, and securing vendor partnerships. The Spa Manager will oversee daily spa operations ensuring revenue growth, team excellence, and an outstanding guest journey that aligns with the brand’s luxury standards. They will be responsible for managing financial targets such as revenue, gross operating profit, and retail performance while fostering collaboration between spa services and other resort departments including Rooms and Food & Beverage. The role demands a dynamic leader capable of balancing a high-end guest experience with operational efficiency and financial discipline. Leading a high-performing team in a wellness environment, the Spa Manager will implement training programs, incentive plans, and maintain quality guest service standards to ensure top-tier satisfaction ratings. A core aspect of this role includes leveraging local ingredients and seasonal products to craft distinctive wellness treatments and guest packages that enhance the spa's positioning in the competitive luxury hospitality market. This position requires someone with strong industry knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for delivering a memorable spa experience that contributes to the overall success of the resort and its portfolio expansion.

Job Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of leadership experience in spa, wellness center, or luxury hospitality
  • At least 2 years experience in a supervisory or manager role
  • Proven financial management skills including P&L responsibility
  • Ability to lead and develop high-performing guest service teams
  • Proficient with spa-related software and POS systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Willingness to work in a luxury hotel environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of leadership experience in a spa, wellness center, or luxury hospitality environment
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or manager role
  • Strong financial acumen managing P&L and meeting revenue and profit targets
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading teams in a guest-focused environment
  • Knowledge of spa software, POS systems, inventory control, and scheduling platforms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Preferred experience in a luxury resort or hotel spa in a city location
  • Background as a licensed therapist or esthetician is a plus
  • Familiarity with market and luxury traveler expectations

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily spa operations including front desk, locker rooms, treatment rooms, relaxation areas, and fitness/wellness areas
  • Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs for all spa services, guest journeys, cleanliness, sanitation, and safety
  • Manage scheduling to balance therapist productivity, guest demand, and labor costs
  • Ensure all licenses, certifications, and inspections are current and compliant
  • Own the spa P&L including forecasting, budgeting, and achieving revenue and profit targets
  • Optimize treatment mix, pricing, and promotions based on demand and guest feedback
  • Drive retail strategy including product curation, merchandising, inventory, and shrink management
  • Analyze daily and weekly KPIs such as treatment utilization, revenue per treatment hour, payroll percentage, and cost of goods and promptly implement corrective actions
  • Curate unique wellness experiences using local and seasonal ingredients
  • Ensure consistent luxury service standards with personalized greetings and consultative treatment recommendations
  • Monitor guest feedback channels and implement action plans for high satisfaction scores
  • Partner with Marketing and Revenue teams to create promotional packages and content
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing spa team including therapists and front desk staff
  • Implement ongoing training programs with vendor partners
  • Foster a culture of accountability and wellness with regular performance reviews and 1:1 meetings
  • Create and manage incentive programs for upselling, cross-selling, and retail performance
  • Collaborate with other resort departments to integrate spa offerings into group events and retreats
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Housekeeping to maintain spa facilities at luxury standards
  • Provide accurate information to Sales for proposals and VIP itineraries
