The Ritz-Carlton is a world-renowned luxury hospitality brand known for providing exceptional guest experiences and delivering excellence in service. As part of Marriott International's prestigious portfolio of over 100 award-winning properties worldwide, The Ritz-Carlton has earned its reputation as a leader in luxury hospitality by consistently setting the standard for rare and special service. The company values diversity and inclusion and fosters an environment where the unique backgrounds of all associates are celebrated. At The Ritz-Carlton, the 'Gold Standards'—including the Employee Promise, Credo, and Service Values—are deeply ingrained in the culture and guide day-to-day operations to ensure every guest leaves with a memorable experience. This commitment to service excellence drives success and cultivates a workplace where employees are empowered, creative, thoughtful, and compassionate.
This role as the Spa Manager is a full-time management position located at The Ritz-Carlton in Miami Beach, Florida. The salary range is $95,000 to $125,000 annually, with eligibility for bonuses, reflecting the importance of leadership in driving the spa's operations and guest satisfaction. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate, underscoring Marriott International's commitment to attracting top talent. As the Spa Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the spa's operations, including managing programs, services, hours of operation, facilities, and staff. Your scope of responsibility covers the coordination of spa services such as salon treatments, skin care, fitness and wellness programs, massage therapy, reservations, reception, and locker room operations. Acting as a department head, you will lead and collaborate with the management team and hourly employees to execute successful spa operations that continually enhance guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing the department's financial performance.
The role demands strong leadership and operational management skills to ensure the spa maintains its high standard of service and cleanliness, manages supply inventories effectively, and meets its revenue goals. You will supervise the selection and management of vendors and contracts related to spa retail operations, oversee product research, selection, purchasing and display, and control inventories including uniforms and supplies. Financial oversight includes monitoring sales performance, controlling payroll, and managing operating expenses like guest amenities, linen, salon products, decorations, and paper supplies with the aim of achieving or exceeding budget goals.
In addition to operational duties, the Spa Manager will play a crucial role in sales and marketing by developing and managing promotions, special programs, and ensuring the inclusion of the spa in broader property marketing efforts. This includes creating group gifting programs, holiday events, and negotiating spa service contracts to maintain competitiveness in the market.
Customer service excellence is paramount. The Spa Manager must exemplify leadership in guest hospitality, empower employees to provide outstanding service, and continuously seek improvements in service delivery to ensure a positive guest experience. Furthermore, human resources responsibilities include recruiting and hiring capable managers and staff, developing orientation and training programs, conducting performance appraisals, fostering open and collaborative relationships within the team, soliciting employee feedback, and maintaining ongoing communication to align with business objectives. Celebrating successes and recognizing team contributions will be integral to maintaining high employee morale and engagement.
Joining The Ritz-Carlton means embracing a culture driven by the Gold Standards, where your purpose, belonging, and potential are nurtured. You will be part of a global team dedicated to being the best version of themselves while delivering world-class luxury hospitality experiences.
